A Trilogy

Guardians of the Earth is a three-part documentary series trilogy chronicling life on the frontlines of Canada’s tree planting industry. Beneath the hardship lies something deeper- a raw examination of individual purpose, identity, capitalism, community and what it means to rebuild forests in a nation built on resource extraction.

Season I introduced the culture in a VLOG style short documentary following a Rookie Tree Planter.

Season II goes deeper — capturing the intensity, adversity, and comradery of a full season in the bush.

Season III is currently entering the end of its production cycle. Filming in the of years 2024-2026 the final film will include nearly 40 individual interviews from the likes of Tree Planters, Deliverers, Management and Reforestation Clients. It will be the final act in this ground-breaking trilogy series.

This screening features the never before seen Guardians of the Earth – Season II — the boldest reforestation documentary chapter yet.
